This year, the organisers expect approximately 270 Polish and international exhibitors with products that will display a cross-section of the jewellery business: from silver, gold, fashion and designer jewellery, through precious stones, gemstones and semi-finished products, to tools, machinery, packaging, displays and watches. The product range presented at GST is evolving, as the market itself is undergoing continuous transformation: although fashion jewellery is taking up ever larger portions of the pie, Gold Silver Time steadfastly puts a strong emphasis also on classic products which follow the latest trends and on designer jewellery. Especially the latter has been enjoying huge interest, also among international customers who value the Polish school of design very highly.
Fashion will certainly be the common denominator of the products on display: fashion which follows the most recent trends and is suited to customer needs – after all, that’s exactly what guarantees commercial success.
Recent years have been rather difficult for the jewellery business but – judging from external signs – the crisis seems to be easing up little by little. This is proven, for instance, by an increased interest in GST compared to its previous edition, which was evaluated as good, and by larger floor space taken up by the exhibitors. In order to meet these expectations, the organiser has suggested the availability of another, neighbouring exhibition hall within Expo XXI; the idea will be consulted at the forthcoming edition of the fair.
That the situation is stabilising is also indicated by the return of several exhibitors who – for various reasons – were absent last year. This group includes S&A -
Gold Silver Time has an established position as a cultural and societal event.
